If you have taken note of a VCA (SCC) Basic Safety course, then you know that VCA (SCC) stands for Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors. It is designed to ensure safe working, for all employees, within companies with high-risk environments, or high-risk activities.

The purpose of the training:

The ultimate goal is to make people aware of potential hazards, curb unsafe behavior and significantly reduce workplace accidents.

Required knowledge:

The basics of following topics.

• Regulations & safety rules
• Working safely: consultation and inspection
• Prevention (measures) 
• The workplace
• Personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work equipment
• Specific work and conditions 
• Hazardous substances
• Electricity and radiation
• Fire and explosion 
• Accidents
• Emergency situations

Practical matters surrounding the exam:

• Minimum 18 years old - Always bring your ID!
• Maximum of 1 hour of exam time.
• 40 multiple-choice questions, 28 of which must be correct to pass.
• If you pass, you will receive a BeSaCC certificate (recognized VCA / SCC diploma). This certificate remains valid for 10 years.
